DENIZ SAHIN

Tanbur

He was born in Ankara in 1989. In 2009, he started his mathematics education at Ankara University for three years and started playing fretless guitar, leaving his mathematics education in 2012 with the reason that “he could not spare enough time to music”. He started playing the tanbur in 2012 and became the pupil of Murat Salim Tokaç. He met with Cenk Güray in 2011 and worked with him on several subjects -Makam being in the first place- and appeared in concerts. He has participated in numerous concerts and projects with his baglama, fretless guitar, tanbur and voice. He participated to workshops and gave concerts with young and talented musicians from different countries within the scope of Talent Project in 2011 Forde Folk Music Festival in Norway. In 2016, he was awarded with the Achievement Award by a distinguished jury in the Young Performers' Competition held in memory of Tanburi Cemil Bey's 100th Death Anniversary in affiliation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Between 2016 to 2018, he worked as a Tanbur artist in the Republic of Turkey Ankara State Classical Turkish Music Choir. Deniz Sahin, a graduate of Gazi University Turkish Music Conservatory Instrument Education (Tanbur), gave lecture in the same university during the 2016-2017 education year. He graduated from his master degree in 2019 and still continues his academic career at Ankara Music and Fine Arts University as a Lecturer. He has various music groups as a performer at the same time.

ELIF CANFEZA GÜNDÜZ

Classical Kemence

Born on 23rd July 1994 in Istanbul, Elif Canfezâ Gündüz graduated from the classical kemenche class of 2016 mentored by Ms. Neva Özgen at the Musical Performance Department of Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music Conservatory. She has been serving as a guest performer at the Istanbul State Ensemble of Turkish Music Research and Performance. Furthermore, she was entitled to receive Achievement Award in the classical kemenche category of the Young Musical Performers Competition held by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. As one of the founders of the promising music groups called 'Arfana', 'Simdilik Trio' and 'Savt', she continues to record albums with them. Arfana's album called 'Anatolian Folk-Jazz Impressions' was released in November 2017 by Kalan Music. Till now, Elif Canfezâ Gündüz has performed numerous concerts - both solo and in-group - and delivered seminars on Turkish maqam in Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Denmark, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, the Netherlands, Israel, Australia, Belgium, Macedonia, and Norway.

AYDIN ÇIRACIOGLU

Accordion 

He was born in 1989 in Mugla. He played bass guitar until 2007 when he started taking accordion courses from Iberya Özkan. After graduating from the Political Science Department of Galatasaray University in 2013, he started his ethnomusicology master's degree in Istanbul Technical University Advanced Research Center for Music (MIAM). He has concentrated on Balkan music, Anatolian music and Greek city music (Rebetiko) both as performance and research topics. He has developed his accordion performance under the influence of amusic and musicians from Europe, South America, Balkans, Caucasus and Anatolia. He has attended many festivals, concert halls and live music venues in Turkey and abroad solo and with different music groups and performed mainly repertoires of Turkish Folk Music, Rebetiko and Balkan music. Aydın Çıracıoglu is the constituent member of "Mahalle Band" and "Simdilik Trio" groups, and performs accordion in "Cafe Aman Istanbul".
